Natalie's Blessing

Natalie's blessing was last weekend. We had a limited amount of family come because of the combo of the distance and the weather. But it was fun to visit with everyone and have a good time. She is such a sweet girl, and we just love having her in our home.

Let's see. Ten years ago I was learning how to drive! Seems pretty crazy, but it's true.

1. Make a grocery list.
2. Get to the store hopefully before the crowds do.

4. Drop some stuff off at my friend/co0worker's.
5. Get my house cleaned.

I'd go get a new wardrobe and a gym pass. I'd also make sure I hired a maid. Oh, and I'd buy a new red Corvette and a black GMC Denali. I'd put money away for college for the kids and pay off our debts.

1. I don't like to drive in the dark.

5. I am always nervous hooking the propane up to our grill. I'm afraid it'll explode or something.

Carson's Birthday

Just a few pictures from Carson's birthday party. He's two now, and he'll tell you if you ask him how old he is. He loved opening presents and helping make and eat the cake. He even got to pick out the ice cream. We had some friends over, and they all had a great time playing with the new puppy.

Our New Puppy

On Thursday night we brought home the newest member of our family. His name is Roscoe. He is a 9 week old black lab, and he is so cute! Carson and Roscoe love to play! They chase each other around the table and play tug of war all day, which is a nice break for me. It gives Carson someone to play with so I can get stuff done.

Natalie Michelle Gibbs was born on November 21. She was four weeks early, just like her brother. She weighed 6lb 8oz and was 20" so not too small considering how early she was. My birthday is November 22, which also happened to be Thanksgiving. So Natalie and I spent my birthday and Thanksgiving in the hospital. My parents came, so we all got to have Thanksgiving dinner in the hospital cafeteria! Luckily Natalie was healthy, so we just had our real dinner a day late when we were both home.

The other day I was busy with projects in the house and Mike was in the garage working on Caron's birthday present. Carson came up to me and said, "Cheek." I looked up, and sure enough. He had colored all over his cheeks with markers. Luckily for me we threw away all of our permanent markers and only have washables now, so it was easy to wash off.

Big Brother

Carson loves his sister Natalie! All he ever wants to do is hold her and play with her. Unfortunately for him, she's just too little to wrestle and play with cars.

Our New House

We are loving our new house! Carson loves the space to run and play, and for the first time in our married life, I don't have more junk than there is room to store it. Having a basement is wonderful. We moved in December 15, so I am now finally getting to where I know where everything is, and all I have left to do is unpack the boxes in the basement...if I ever get around to it.
